最近是春季的植物主题学习，清华少儿英语教材3a unit3 Plants也很应景。翻出去年2月的打卡来顺便复习巩固下，同时将打卡分享出来供大家参考。

① Seed Charades（/ʃəˈrɑːdz/）你做我猜游戏

I've prepared some colorful Paper flowers. I write some words on the flowers. Someone need to look at the card and do the actions. The other one will guess what it is.

Four little ponies will pretend to be seeds. We two will help ponies to guess. If the pony gets right, she will get the sunshine/ rain to grow up.

② Scarecrow

You have all these lovely flowers growing. They look so pretty. Oh no look a big crow is coming to take the flowers. Baby, can you be a scarecrow, I'll be the crow. Can you scare the crow away when it gets to close? 👧No, I want to be the crow. OK. Go away. Crow, you bad crow.

🎯 How plants grow.

A plant is a living thing.

Plants need light, air and water to germinate /grow.

Plants need plenty of sunlight. Plants use sunlight to make their own food. The sun use their lives to trap light.

Plants need plenty of water their roots to absorb water from the soil after it rains.

Plants need air. They take carbon dioxide from the air and release oxygen back into the environment.

Do you know what is the carbon dioxide? It is a kind of harmful gas. It comes from the animals and human. What is the oxygen? Oxygen is a kind of gas which is present in air and water, and is necessary for animals and humans to breathe.

Look at this pictures. The sun produces the sunlight. The plants absorb the sunlight. The plants absorb the carbon dioxide from the air and absorb water using their roots. And then they made oxygen and Release oxygen back into the environment. The process is called photosynthesis.

Everything in the whole world falls into two main groups. One is the plant group. Another is the animal group. The plants can't move, whereas animals can move.

Do you think which group we can be divided into? We belongs to the animal group.

There are around 300000 types of plants in the world. Most of them are seed plants. Some types of plants we know are trees, shrubs, grass, vines, ferns and mosses.

Everything on earth has a life circle. Life begins, it grows, it reproduces, It dies. But what is the plants that circle . plants start their lives as tiny seeds.

Seeds can be as tiny as a grain or as big as a fingernail. Do you remember that the seeds of redwood tree are as small as the watermelon seeds?

Let's look at the seed. How many parts are there in a seed?

Three parts.

Inside is the embryo, which is a tiny plant and the endosperm , which are small leaves which supply it with food from the food store. The outside of the seat has a seed coat which protects the plant.

Some plants like ferns（蕨类植物）, Don't produce seeds. They make spores（孢子）. They drop off the plant and eventually make new plants. Animals often eats seeds as do we.

When the wind is blowing, some seeds are carried to the new places. Seeds cannot grow underneath other plants and need a clear space to grow where sunlight can reach them easily.

4 Field Trip

🎯 Scavenger hunt.

Do you know what a scavenger hunt is? A scavenger hunt is when we have a list of things we have to find. When we find it, we will mark it off our list. Look at this list. It has all different plants and tree leaves on it. Can you help me find all of them? Let's go outside.

We found the bare willow trees柳树. Aspen trees杨树. They are bare in winter. Can you find any leaves in the trees?

We also found some green trees.

拿着作业纸去小山上边找边打勾。

We went on the hill. We found the Trees, birds, rocks, tree bark, send all the clouds, brown leaves, green leaves. But we cannot find any flowers, ferns, butterflies, bugs and spiderwebs.

Why can't we find flowers?

We Remembered that we've ever seen some winter Jasmine somewhere. But we can not find on the hill. Do you know why? Because it is too chilly to blossom flower.

Why can't we find the bugs and ants?

because they enter hibernation in winter. Bugs have hidden under the dry leaves or under the rocks. The ants stayed in the ant colony in winter.
